Two-Faced Lovers - Speedpaint

I first decided to do this drawing after seeing this video. I completely fell in love with the song~ along with that I also thought the dance sequence and outfit were cute. Thus, I decided I wanted to do fan-art of Miku Hatsune (project diva version!) I have actually been a fan of vocaloid ever since Miku was born (back in 2007!).

Anyways, the speed paint itself took forever! The sketch came by really quickly, but the coloring time was the majority of the video. I did not do this entire video in one sitting, for that would be pure torture on my eyes. The recording process took place in two different segments; Outling + Coloring, and then the background. I like the ending result, however I wish I was able to draw a more realistic looking city in the background.

The meaning behind "Two Faced Lovers" (the song), is really interesting to me. A line from the song is "Love, Love, Love, Love, NOT" Miku is singing about false love and how people always think they are in love, but instead it is lust. Surprisingly, I feel 80% of people cannot tell the different between these two things. It is quite sad to see people getting hurt over mixing them up. However, nothing can really be done except for warn people of it.

Another random fact about the song is people seem to have interpreted it as a situation where a girl is only being used for her body, and point out how in the video miku is implying how she got an abortion, waking up in bed after stuff. Even though it conveys the same type of feelings as the first interpretation I have to disagree with the extreme situations people say she is singing about. However, if you are interested the PV that interprets this can be found here. I would like to point out the PV graphics were done really well! This is the type of style-ish I kind of want to aim for (more detailed though) in my upcoming PV.

My apologies for getting so off topic from my art stuff, but I feel this information had to be shared to go with the reasons why I wanted to draw this.
